Ben Webb - Managing Director

Ben is MD of the Malaysia office and is passionate about ensuring that Kadence remains the agency of choice for its clients by delivering solutions that are clear and straightforward, whilst also imaginative and inspiring.

Drawing on 20 years’ experience as a research professional spanning Europe and Asia, Ben is also inspired by the opportunity to transfer knowledge and help further develop Kadence Malaysia’s strong and committed Insight team.

Originally from South West London, Ben has made Kuala Lumpur his home for the past 10 years.  He is an ardent cricketer and can be found ‘on the field’ most weekends.

Anna Khoo - Qualitative Director

Anna is a qualitative specialist within the Insight team with a particular interest in the Malay community.

Over 20 years’ of active involvement in Qualitative research is testimony to Anna’s passion for this area of work and, in that time, she has developed very strong insights into the mindset of Malaysia’s multiracial consumer segments.

Her fluency in the Malay language, strong academic credentials on Malay society and good rapport with Malay consumers makes this segment Anna’s forte. She truly understands the Malay psyche and has great interest in the Malay arts and culture.

Anna believes in taking a partnership approach with her clients rather than being a supplier of market information. She actively supports them with post research consultancy and, in doing so, has earned the loyalty of a pool of regular clients that have chosen to work with her for many years.

Jo-Ann Foo - Associate Director

Jo-Ann is one of the principal members of the Malaysian Insight team; her inherently inquisitive and adventurous nature has seen her travel the globe and uncover inspired insights for clients in Australia, the UK and now Malaysia.

Jo-Ann complements her traditional training (in marketing and accounting), with a wide range of experiences across different industries, markets and methodologies – both qual and quant, ensuring she brings a balanced, dynamic yet informed perspective to the assessment of any challenge.

She won the Special Contribution to Conference award and was a Finalist for Best Newcomer at the MRS Conference in London (2009); the judges’ comments on her presentation epitomising Jo-Ann’s unique ability to distil and capture insight in a thought-provoking, concise yet passionate way:  “Jo-Ann’s high octane Pecha Kucha presentation got this innovative session off to a cracking start. Well prepared clever, fluent, funny, Jo-Ann spoke for exactly 20 seconds against each of her allotted 20 slides... A genuine love of market research shone throughout leaving her audience gasping, exhilarated and (let us hope) inspired.”
