Job description

The majority of time in the Research & Administration Assistant role is spent assisting members of the various teams in ultimately providing accurate, timely, insight worth sharing to clients.  

The main focus is to support the Office Manager and Finance Assistant, as well as the research teams, with a wide number of administrative tasks. The variety of the role will provide the incumbent with a good initial overview and first step into the research industry and the various career paths available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

This role at Kadence will primarily encompass the following:

Office Administration:  
• Front of house duties including answering the main phoneline and greeting visitors / couriers
• Stationary ordering and organisation
• Office organisation and support in management such as liaising with suppliers
• First line of response for general office queries
• Supporting with ad hoc office projects

Finance Administration:
• Filing / scanning of invoices
• Processing incentives
• Processing credit card receipts
• Chasing supplier invoices with internal Project Managers
• Other ad hoc finance tasks as required

Research Assistance:
• Stimulus preparation for qualitative groups (e.g. pasting stimulus on boards, ensuring everything in order)
• Questionnaire formatting
• Observing fieldwork
• Qualitative note taking during groups
• Project logistic planning
• Incentive management

Data Solutions Assistance:
• Testing of surveys (both telephone and web)
• Sense checking questionnaires when received from clients to pick up any potential mistakes from clients end or ours
• Running database checks with help of Call Centre/Data Management from existing database (Dunn & Bradstreet/Zoom) and also searching yellow pages, so we have an idea of how much sample is available
• Running desk research on topics for RfQs
• Helping PMs with data checks throughout field

Other Development Areas & Opportunities
• As a Global Boutique agency, all our team members get the opportunity to be involved in another development area that sits outside of their main role, and assisting senior team members with others as required. For example, marketing, design, HR or knowledge management

What we are looking for:
• Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail is essential
• A solid grasp of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Great communication skills, both face to face and over the telephone
• A pro active and 'can do' attitude

Job description

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, talented and enthusiastic graduate who wants to start a career in Market Research and Insight. We‘ve listed some of the things you will be involved in below:

  • Supporting and assisting the senior team on understanding clients’ marketing and insight objectives; planning suitable insight proposals, and executing projects
  • Assisting with the development of fieldwork materials (screeners, discussion guides, stimulus, questionnaires), and analysis plans/ reports
  • Immersing yourself in industry best practice by getting involved with observing and conducting fieldwork (interviews, observations, focus groups, online communities) and data analysis
  • Contributing to project brainstorms and insight debriefs – and learning to tell compelling stories back to our clients
  • Reaching beyond research to get exposure to broader dimensions of this dynamic business – from marketing to product development, and commercial skills to design - you’ll be encouraged to learn how everything fits together in a wider context.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A good understanding of marketing principles (just the basics, we’ll teach you the rest!) – and strong intuition for what motivates people and their decisions (across almost any walk of life!)
  • The ability to communicate clearly, coherently and engagingly when addressing a formal audience via the telephone, email, video and face to face
  • A solid grasp of PowerPoint, Word and Excel (bonus points if you know Adobe Creative Suite) – and an understanding of their respective roles in effective communication
  • A good standard of IT and Web skills; an interest in digital technology and social media
  • An interest in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches (i.e. strong numeracy and literacy skills) – and an ability to derive meaning from both numerical data sets and complex qualitative information
  • Exceptional attention to detail – and the ability to move seamlessly from one task to another (retaining that very same attention to detail!).
  • A creative, curious mind and an active interest in the world around you
  • An honours degree (at minimum) - we’re open minded as to the subject but as we’ve said, you must have an interest in marketing
  • An interest in visual communication provides bonus points
  • An additional language would be advantageous (please state on application)
